A list of local organizations we support & trusted alliances we’ve created within the birthing community

Who we support:

Open Arms Perinatal Services is a long-standing, local, nonprofit that provides “community-based support during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting to nurture strong foundations that last a lifetime.” I had the opportunity to be a volunteer birth doula with their organization & found the experience extremely rewarding. Being able to give funds to their continual work is a meaningful way I can help uphold their mission & efforts.

Fund for Black Birthing Bodies “These donations will ensure services for the femme, trans, queer, LGBTQIA+, and non-binary humans that need support while acknowledging years of systemic injustice from white supremacy, bias, and capitalism within the medical industrial complex.” -Davinah Simmons (full spectrum doula at Rooted Birth).

Canoe Journey Herbalists is a local nonprofit founded by & for indigenous people, that educates & distributes herbal remedies, knowledge & workshops to the community. They are raising money as part of a land back movement, to restore ancestral lands to indigenous people.

Rose Island Farm- “is a 1-acre Indigenous-owned family farm located in southeast Tacoma, WA. We work from the deeply held knowledge that we come to the world with the knowledge we need to heal ourselves and our communities. These ways of knowing have been passed on through oral history as well as being recorded and preserved in the land and in a rich plant legacy. Our ancestral knowledge gets awakened when we connect to the plant lineages that have supported and sustained us for lifetimes.” Taken from their website.
